We started with a small greenhouse and a big dream — to make beautiful, healthy plants accessible to every home in India.

How it began

From a Backyard Garden
to Your Doorstep.

SSD Nursery was founded in 2018 by a family of passionate gardeners in Hyderabad, Telangana. What started as a weekend hobby — propagating rare tropical plants and sharing them with neighbours — quickly grew into something much larger.

We noticed that while people loved the idea of indoor plants, they struggled to find healthy, well-cared-for plants from trusted sources. Nurseries were inconsistent, care guidance was absent, and delivery often arrived in poor condition.

So we built the nursery we always wanted to buy from. Every plant is grown in our climate-controlled greenhouses, inspected by our botanists, and shipped in custom packaging designed to keep them thriving in transit.
